Lag Putting

Two variables in Lag putting – Length of Backstroke, Energy (tempo), thought here is to keep the energy consistent and vary the backstroke.

Downhill putts are 3-putted 3 times as often as uphill putts. So let’s spend a bit more time refining touch and feel on downhill putts.  This is building a reference for when you get out on the golf course.

Drill:

  • 3 balls from 50,40,60 feet inside a 3 foot circle
  • Final ball from 50 feet. [if fail, re-do the drill]
  • Do drill from uphill and downhill to build a reference
