Bay of Quinte– Dalewood – Cancelled 2020

Senior Men’s Interclub Matches – 2020 Cancelled

The Senior Men’s groups of Bay of Quinte and Dalewood usually play home and home series of inter-club “friendlies”.

Each visit will involve 12 members from each club.

We will play a four-ball match play format with full handicaps. All matches will be played from the red tees.  One point will be awarded to each winning pairing for each nine and one point for the round, for an informal competition between the clubs. All handicaps are welcome to participate.

Each participant will contribute $2 to the pot and the winning club at the end of the matches will donate the funds to their local charity of choice.

This is a great chance for members that normally play from the red tees to represent Dalewood and have some fun.   If you are interested in participating, please sign up on the board by

Our League

This is Northumberland County’s Best Senior League, we have 65 members this year that play 3 times a week and socialize after golf. There are small payouts each round to the top 5 players. We have 8 tournaments a year within the club as well as interclub matches with Kawartha and soon Bay of Quinte. We are very fortunate at Dalewood to have talented Green Staff who keep our course in tip top shape, with the fastest greens in the county. Dalewood is a very walkable course, why not come out and give us a try.

Membership is open to all male golf members of the Club who are Fifty years of age or older.

We have been playing  as a group for over 30 years on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with an informal competition.  We encourage group involvement and organize random foursomes amongst each other to encourage participation across the group. This is a true benefit of the organization for new  residents joining our community.

The Senior Men’s League at Dalewood made a $350.00 donation to Dalewood to improve the cart paths. A group of volunteers will be renting a heavy duty roller in late 2019  to put the finishing touches on this project. Hopefully the asphalt will reduce/ eliminate the washouts we have experienced in the past springs thus allowing power carts out onto the course earlier and staff can be assigned to different task in order to get the course in better playing condition sooner. Neil Pemberton thanked our group on behalf of the volunteers and the club.
